Chip/Smart Cards

This is also known as an ICC (Integrated Circuit Card) - a plastic card with an embedded microchip. The chip can process different kinds of information, and therefore, various industries use them in different ways. Banks are adopting the use of smart cards to combat fraud and to offer customers financial and non-financial services, for example, loyalty points.

AUMec has carried out extensive research in the use of smart card terminals and e-commerce portals and can prepare a case for those retailers who wish to participate in the innovative secure payment process and canvass sponsors for investment in a roll out scheme from Card Acquirers and Card Schemes.
